Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I chose Valley Children's because of the quality of its people and facilities, as well as an obvious commitment to excellent training standards. As a second year transfer, I also couldn't resist the temptation to move to a warmer climate.
Hobbies: My interests include exploring the world with my daughters and husband, whether a mountain trail or a city museum. I love experiencing all the world has to offer, especially when I can share the experience with my family. I also have an interest in fashion and design. I also enjoy cooking, but I never follow recipes or cook the same meal twice.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments: Earlier in my career I had the opportunity to participate in various academic pursuits in the field of neonatology, including clinical trials of administration of aerosoled surfactant. Currently, I have an interest in expanding the use of bedside pulmonary ultrasonagraphy as a minimally invasive and rapid diagnostic tool in the care of neonatal patients.
Care Philosophy: As a mother, my care philosophy will always be focused on seeing my patients as someone elses child. I will always strive to provide the care and comfort I would hope to receive in some of life's most difficult circumstances.
