Yvette Segura, PhD, earned her doctorate in child clinical psychology at Oklahoma State University at Stillwater. She completed an internship in child/pediatric psychology at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky., and a pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark.

Dr. Segura serves on several committees including the Rehabilitation Team, Rehabilitation Administration Team and the Behavioral Restraints Committee. She gives presentations at Children’s Hospital and as a staff presenter for the University of California, San Francisco – Fresno Medical Education Residency Training Program. Her work has been published in the “Journal of Ethnicity in Substance Abuse” and she has been a guest reviewer for “Clinical Pediatrics: The Peer-Reviewed Journal for the Clinician.”

Dr. Segura joined Valley Children’s in 2004. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Pediatric Psychology. Her clinical interests include pediatric coping with chronic illness and/or trauma, treatment of feeding disorders, externalizing behavior disorders, parenting, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
