Tai Pham, MD

Hometown:
Milpitas, California

About Me:
I was born in Vietnam but have lived in the Bay Area for most of my life. After completing a degree in Molecular Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, I traveled for a bit and worked a series of fun jobs before attending medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans as part of their MD/MPH program.

Why I chose Valley Children's:
I was attracted to Valley Children's initially due to the strong, accomplished, amazing group of women physicians that was building the program. After working here, I have felt myself in awe at many of the people I've met and their dedication to serving the patients of the Central Valley and building a strong community.

Hobbies:
Gardening, cooking, baking bread, hiking, camping, traveling, crafting and watching cooking competitions.

Scholarly Work:
My interests lie in preventative health, hospital medicine and advocacy addressing social and political barriers to health. I'm currently working on a retrospective chart review of acute kidney injury in the acute care setting. I have also submitted an article on the history of coccidiodomycosis in the Central Valley and have published a case study on fetal brain trauma from in utero gun-shot injury. Really, there are so many opportunities to get involved in scholarly projects or create your own at Valley Children's.
