Hometown:
Cairo, Egypt. I've been living in Fresno for the past 15 years.

Medical School:
Ross University School of Medicine

About Me:
I was born in Cairo, Egypt, then moved to Kuwait when I was 10 years old. I moved to Fresno in 2004 and have been living here since then. I went to Clovis West High School and graduated from Fresno State (Go Bulldogs!), where I majored in biology and minored in chemistry.

Why I chose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program:
It has been my dream to serve the Valley since moving here in 2004. Fresno and the Central Valley in general have been my home for the past 15 years. I wanted to stay local and help my community and give back, as they welcomed my family and me a long time ago. There is a huge physician shortage and access to medical care is difficult here, and I wanted to become a part of the solution.

Hobbies:
Soccer, hiking, swimming, weight lifting and staying active in general

Community advocacy and research:
I am interested in infectious disease and gastroenterology and would like to expand the research between these two fields. I am also interested in talking to high school students here in the Valley to increase their interest in joining the healthcare field.
