Hometown:

Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program?
I loved the undercurrent of passion from the community, from the residents and from the faculty. There is so much medical need, but there is so much love and compassion that it feels like the sky is the limit. I wanted to work and to live with people who shared that vision and brought their own experiences to the table.
Hobbies:
Calligraphy, anime, wine tasting, Disney singalongs, K-pop, Trader Joe’s dessert runs, knitting, reading, financial literacy
Advocacy and/or Research Accomplishments:
Gender affirming care, LGB care, pediatric mental health, harm reduction. My prior research was in bench research in various projects as they relate to proteomics/genomics in breast cancer, neuroblastoma, papillary thyroid cancer and chemotherapeutic drug characterization.
Care Philosophy:
I believe that building a culture of acceptance where diversity of ideas, cultures, races, sexual orientation, gender expression and identity and socioeconomic backgrounds must be actively pursued and challenged.
