About Me:
During my childhood, my mother had a daycare at our house, which inspired my interest in working with children. When I was in college, this interest evolved into pediatrics as I found myself intrigued with healthcare and healthcare disparities. Seeing the need for resources in medically underserved communities of Southern California, I became particularly passionate about preventative healthcare initiatives, including healthy eating initiatives for adolescents to combat increasing rates of obesity in California’s communities. This interest in healthy eating has carried over into my residency experience as I have taken on the task of building a cooking class with a focus on healthy eating at Valley Children’s Healthcare. I aspire to continue this project into my future career as a primary care physician.
Hobbies:
In my spare time, I love to cook at home and play board games with family and friends. I also enjoy salsa dancing.
