Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program?
I chose Valley Children’s after spending time there on an away rotation and fell in love with the community, the patient population and the strong women that make up the GME leadership team. I am currently involved in research projects including interesting cases on infantile cocci, newborn hypoglycemia and streamlining the inpatient management of acute gastroenteritis.

Hobbies:
My main hobby is collecting hobbies, but I do enjoy road biking, running trails, tending to my large collection of plants and road tripping to the mountains.

Advocacy and Research Accomplishments:
I started a STEM outreach program in New Jersey where I organized groups of community scientists to visit local middle schools and share the power of science-related careers through experiments and games. My research efforts have included using innovative brainstorming tools to work through strategies with diabetic patients.

Future Goals:
My goal is to create an advocacy tool to help residents engage more with health policy. I am a board member of the Fresno Madera Medical Society, where I hope to become more involved in advocacy efforts in Sacramento.
