I was raised in Southern California, where I also received my bachelor's degree in health promotion and disease prevention at USC. My interest in public health advocacy and preventative medicine began in college, as I became involved in global medical mission trips and teaching pregnancy prevention/sex education in high schools in LA county. During my time in medical school, my interests continued to evolve with a focus on community mentorship. I feel very fortunate and excited to complete my pediatric training in my home state and hope to continue expanding on these interests throughout residency.
Why I chose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program:
I had the opportunity to rotate at Valley Children’s for away rotations and instantly felt very welcomed by the compassionate community here. Most importantly, I found wonderful educators, mentors and friends in a supportive environment where I felt I would thrive best. The patient population is also incredibly grateful and kind, and to learn while serving this community is such a privilege.
I enjoy traveling, hiking, trying new restaurants and spending my free time with family and friends, preferably outdoors and in the sun.
Advocacy, Interests and Research Accomplishments:
Hospital medicine, quality improvement, and medical education. My prior research experience is in infectious disease and I have participated in youth mentorship and reproductive health education.
I believe that each patient deserves compassion, respect, and our best care regardless of their race, age, sex, disabilities, or socioeconomic class. It is our duty to educate and involve our patients and their families to participate in making decisions together regarding their care.
