Valley Children’s Pediatric Residents Chosen for Fellowship Programs

(Madera, Calif.) – Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, announced recently that three residents from its inaugural class have been chosen for fellowship programs to continue their medical training and education.

The following third-year residents will be fellows starting in July 2020 in their specialty programs:

  • Dr. Jessica Vaughn - Neonatal Intensive Care, U. C. Davis
  • Dr. Daniel Ebbs - Pediatric Critical Care, Yale
  • Dr. Zahia (“Zee”) Zayed – Pediatric Critical Care, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

“I am incredibly proud of our residents and what they have accomplished for their next stage of training,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs, Designated Institutional Official and Chief of Pediatrics Dr. Jolie Limon.

As members of Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program’s first class, Drs. Vaughn, Ebbs and Zayed have been integral to building the residency program. In their time at Valley Children's, they have been active in participating in quality improvement, creating scholarly work, presenting research locally and nationally and dedicating themselves to Valley Children’s mission of providing the best healthcare for kids. They will graduate with their colleagues in a commencement ceremony this June.
