Valley Children’s Honored by Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce

(Bakersfield, CA) - This past Saturday, representatives from Valley Children’s were in attendance as the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce held its 29th annual Beautiful Bakersfield Awards gala at the Rabobank Theater and Convention Center in Bakersfield. The event, attended by more than 700 Kern County leaders, honors the contributions and accomplishments of local people, organizations and businesses striving to improve the quality of life in Bakersfield.

Valley Children’s Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center was among the 110 nominees in 16 categories, and won the two categories for which it was nominated: Architecture/Design and Health. The Architecture/Design category recognizes the completion of a brand-new interior and/or exterior building design integrating the environment with space and materials. The Health category honors individuals, groups or organizations that have made a significant contribution toward healthy living in Bakersfield through education, prevention or medical services.

Valley Children’s opened Eagle Oaks Specialty Care Center in southwest Bakersfield in October 2018. This 52,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical center designed with children in mind, serves families in the Kern County area by providing them with the best pediatric specialty care in a kid-friendly environment.

Eagle Oaks-based pediatric cardiologist Dr. Ryan Alanzalon, practice manager Jenny Golleher and Valley Children’s Medical Group President Michael Goldring accepted the awards and provided a few words of gratitude on behalf of Valley Children’s.
