Newborn Neurosurgery
The Pediatric Neurosurgery practice at Valley Children’s Hospital specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with a range of neurosurgical disorders. We perform about 450 neurosurgeries annually in children ranging from birth to 21 years of age.
Our pediatric neurosurgeons work closely with other board-certified pediatric specialists in the care and treatment of children. Teams often include pediatric neuro-oncologists, pediatric interventional radiologists, pediatric anesthesiologists, pediatric rehabilitation specialists, and other specialists involved in the diagnosis and treatment of complex neurological conditions.
We offer a broad range of specialized expertise that can only be found in a healthcare network dedicated solely to children. Pediatric neurosurgeons are an integral part of several multidisciplinary teams including the following:
- Craniofacial program
- Spina bifida program
- Neuro-oncology program
- Spasticity program
