Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and fellowship-trained in pediatric critical care, Dr. Molly Dorfman joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric intensivist in July 2015. She has a special interest in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Dr. Dorfman is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Thoracic Society.

Dr. Dorfman is actively involved in research on a variety of topics, ranging from pediatric life support to child abuse. She has published abstracts and manuscripts in peer-reviewed publications, and has contributed chapters to several medical books.

She has taught medical Spanish and advanced education courses for PICU nurses, and she gave monthly resident lectures at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

After receiving her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Dorfman did her pediatric residency at Mattel Children's Hospital, David Geffen School of Medicine, at the University of California, Los Angeles.  She completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine and Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

In her free time, Dr. Dorfman enjoys running, cooking and traveling.
