Board certified in both general and pediatric anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology and fellowship-trained, Dr. Inger Aliason joined Valley Children’s in September 2015 as a pediatric anesthesiologist.

Dr. Aliason comes to Valley Children’s from The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she served as a clinical assistant professor in pediatric anesthesiology since 2010. She also served as program director for the pediatric anesthesiology fellowship program, and as interim section chief for pediatric anesthesia.She provided perioperative anesthetic care to premature infants through young adults for a wide range of procedures.

Prior to this position, she was a clinical assistant professor in pediatric anesthesiology for the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, since 2007.

Dr. Aliason has presented, published and conducted research on various topics in her field. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Education in Anesthesia, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, and American Society of Anesthesiologists.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in human biology at Stanford University in Stanford, California, Dr. Aliason received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She did her internship in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, California. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, California. She did her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Oregon Health & Science University/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

In her free time, Dr. Aliason enjoys reading novels and cookbooks, experimenting with new recipes and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
