Brady Bates, PhD, earned his doctorate at the University of Delaware in Newark. He completed a child-clinical psychology internship at Morrison Center Child and Family Services in Portland, Oregon, and a fellowship in pediatric psychology at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis in Washington State.

In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Bates serves on Valley Children’s Hospital’s Physician Well-being Committee. He has given a number of presentations on a variety of pediatric psychological issues at Valley Children’s and across the country and has been a guest reviewer for Behavior Modification Quarterly. His work has been published in Infant Mental Health JournalChild Development and Child and Youth Care Forum.

Prior to joining Valley Children’s, Dr. Bates worked in private practice for a year. His areas of interest include adjustment in chronically ill children, parenting chronically ill children, medical regimen compliance problems and anxiety/depressive disorders.
