Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Archana Lingannan joined Valley Children’s as a gastroenterologist in 2021. 

Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Lingannan worked in internal medicine and respiratory medicine in India. She has completed several observerships for multiple disciplines including, hematology, oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and cardiology. She has a wealth of research experience on topics including quality improvement and patient outcomes, and how body mass index in pediatric patients is affected by other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She has shared her research in various poster presentations and peer-reviewed journals such as Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, Journal of American Heart Association and Journal of American College of Cardiology.  

Dr. Lingannan is a member of Crohns and Colitis Foundation, American Gastroenterological Association, The North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

Dr. Lingannan earned her medical degree with honors from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, the oldest, leading medical university in Russia. She went on to complete her residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in New York and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Rhode Island.
