Board certified in urology and pediatric urology, Dr. Lily Wang joined Valley Children’s in 2018.
 
Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Wang did extensive research in a variety of medical areas including genetic studies, cancer, molecular and cell biology. She has shared her research through several posters, presentations and in peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Pediatric Urology, Urologic Oncology, Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and DNA Reports. She has also been featured in Prostate Cancer Diagnosis.
 
Dr. Wang is a member of the Society of Pediatric Urology and the American Urology Association. Her clinical interests include hypospadias, disorders of sexual development, hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, complex genitourinary reconstruction, kidney stones and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Dr. Wang earned her medical degree and PhD from Columbia University in New York and completed her residency in urology through New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell in New York. She also completed fellowships in pediatric urology at Texas Children’s Hospital through Baylor College of Medicine and at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center through the University of Connecticut.

As Valley Children’s Robotic Surgery Program Director, Dr. Wang is passionate about bringing state-of-the-art robotic surgery to the children of the Central Valley. She completed training in adult urologic robotic surgery with the da Vinci S, Si, and Xi Systems at the Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and in pediatric urologic robotic surgery at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.

 
Dr. Wang is fluent in English and Mandarin, proficient in French and Italian and has intermediate Spanish skills. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, photography, cooking and traveling.
