Dr. Kamyar Bahmanpour joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric anesthesiologist in July 2016.
Dr. Bahmanpour has presented nationally on topics in his field. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia and American Medical Association.
Dr. Bahmanpour enjoys contributing his medical skills and knowledge to help children in need around the world, such as participating in a surgical/medical mission to Guatemala with the national organization, Healing the Children.
Recently completing his postgraduate education and training, Dr. Bahmanpour received his medical degree from Azad University of Medical Services, Tehran School of Medicine, in Tehran, Iran. He did his internship in general surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago, Metropolitan Group in Chicago, Illinois. He did his residency in anesthesiology at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief administrative resident. Dr. Bahmanpour then completed his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Indiana University, Riley Children’s Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board eligible.
Dr. Bahmanpour’s multilingual capabilities include being fluent in Farsi.
