Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Rachelle Wareham joined Valley Children’s Healthcare as a pediatric otolaryngologist in February 2016. She has a special clinical interest in airway disorders.

Dr. Wareham comes to Valley Children’s from Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital where she worked as a pediatric otolaryngologist since 2010 in Loma Linda, California. She also served as assistant professor and assistant residency program director at Loma Linda University Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, in Loma Linda, California.

Dr. Wareham received her medical degree and did her surgical internship and residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Wareham performs endoscopic airway procedures, open airway reconstruction, surgery for chronic ear disease including tympanomastoidectomy, implantation of bone-anchored hearing aids, endoscopic sinus surgery, surgery for drooling, and neck surgery, including excision of branchial cleft anomalies and thyroidectomy.

She has conducted and presented research on various topics in her field. She has published her work in a variety of peer-reviewed medical publications, including the “International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology” and “Acta Oto-Laryngologica.”

Interested in helping children with limited or no access to high-quality care, Dr. Wareham participated in a Honduras mission trip while at Loma Linda University. The purpose of the excursion included providing public and hospital training program education and performing laryngotracheal reconstruction on a young boy.

In her free time, she enjoys running, paddle boarding, cooking and spending time with her family.
