Board certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Monique Cadogan joined Valley Children’s in May 2015 as a pediatric anesthesiologist.
Dr. Cadogan comes to Valley Children’s from Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, where she worked as an assistant professor of anesthesia at New York Medical College since 2011. Prior to that, she served as an assistant professor of clinical anesthesia at University of Miami Medical Group, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Cadogan has presented, published and conducted research on various topics in her field. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Cadogan received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She did her internship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, University of Pittsburgh Medical School, Department of Medicine, in Pennsylvania. She did her residency in anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Department of Anesthesia, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at Miami Children’s Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesia, in Miami, Florida.
In her free time, Dr. Cadogan enjoys volunteering for various causes, from participating in walk-a-thons for lung diseases and breast cancer, to providing anesthesia services for Project Medicare and Project Smile.
