  • Ken Graff Young Investigator Research Award from the AAP on asthma research

Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Kelly Ochoa joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric emergency physician in August 2015.

Dr. Ochoa received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin. She did her pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. She completed her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Ochoa is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has conducted and presented research on a variety of topics in her field and lectured widely for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She continues to do research in childhood respiratory conditions. In 2014, the American Academy of Pediatrics presented Dr. Ochoa with the Ken Graff Young Investigator Research Award.

In her free time, Dr. Ochoa enjoys playing the flute and is a former principal flutist for a wind ensemble. She also likes to spend time with her husband and three young daughters, doing triathlons, playing soccer and skiing.
