Natale Ponticello, Senior Vice President and Advisor to the Chief People Officer

Natale Ponticello, Jr., is senior vice president and advisor to the chief people officer. He joined Valley Children’s in January 2013. He is responsible for leading the strategies and initiatives for compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee safety, security and wellness, organizational development, workforce planning, HR information management, employee relations, learning and development, employee health services, and volunteer services. His focus is on ensuring Valley Children’s remains strong as an attractive place to work, has a culture that transcends the network, and has exceptional talent and leadership for the future.

Nat brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning and human resource management. He came to Valley Children’s from The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, where he worked for 16 years, the last four of which he served as vice president, human resources. Prior to that, he held the positions of director, human resources, and education and training department manager.

In addition, Nat spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of chief master sergeant and oversaw various functions within human resources.

Nat holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska. He also received an associates in applied sciences degree in resource management from the Community College of the Air Force and is a Fellow of the Advisory Board Company (FABC).

Nat and his wife have five grown children. They are pleased to be part of Valley Children’s Healthcare and the greater community, and enjoy being close to other family in California.
