Board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Ruetima Titapiwatanakun (Dr. “Ti”) joined Valley Children’s in August 2008 as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist.

Dr. Ti’s primary interests include bleeding disorders and bone and soft tissue tumors. She is active in our bone and soft tissue sarcoma program providing care for children and young adults with osteosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing’s sarcoma and other rare tumors.

Dr. Ti is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

She has published in various professional journals, including Pediatric Blood and Cancer, Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Haemophilia.

Her research has focused on molecular biology of von Willebrand disease and was presented at the Special Symposium on the Basic Science of Hemostasis and Thrombosis at the American Society of Hematology meeting.

Dr. Ti received her medical degree with honors from Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. She completed her pediatric residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Jersey City, New Jersey. She completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
