Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Joshua Warolin joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric gastroenterologist in August 2013. Dr. Warolin’s areas of clinical interest include pediatric obesity, nutrition and general gastroenterology.

Dr. Warolin has published in several peer-reviewed publications such as Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition; Pediatric Obesity; and PLoS ONE. He has also presented on topics in his field.

Dr. Warolin is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, and North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

Dr. Warolin received his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He did his internship and residency in pediatrics at University of California, San Francisco-Fresno. He completed his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn. In addition, he earned a master’s degree in public health from Vanderbilt University.

In his free time, Dr. Warolin enjoys cycling, running and hiking.
