Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Anum Ali joined Valley Children’s in August 2020 as a neonatologist.

Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Ali worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida where she completed her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine and served as the Academic Chief Fellow.

Dr. Ali’s research has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including her work on diagnosing and managing preeclampsia in low and middle­income countries, which was published in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care. She has also presented her research internationally through oral and poster presentations. In 2019, she was awarded the Fellows’ Basic Science Research Award from the Society for Pediatric Research at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2018, Dr. Ali received the PAS Travel Award in Toronto, Canada, and was recognized for her presentation, receiving fourth best oral presentation at the Henry Gelband Research Symposium.

Dr. Ali is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

After earning her MBBS from Aga Kahn University in Pakistan, Dr. Ali went on to complete a residency in pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University – MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Ali is passionate about self-improvement and spiritual growth and finds comfort in art activities, including DIY crafts, pastel painting and drawing. She also enjoys reading, specifically science fiction and fantasy novels. In addition to English, Dr. Ali is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
