Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Batool Alsheikh joined Valley Children’s in 2018.

Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Alsheikh served as the pediatric critical care fellow chief and a critical care fellow through University of California, San Diego at Rady Children's Hospital. She has also worked at the Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital in Jaipur, India and Texas Children's Urgent Care in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Alsheikh is currently a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Medical Association. She holds certifications from Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS). Her research has been published in peer review journals such as the Critical Care Medicine Journal.

Dr. Alsheikh received her medical degree in 2011 from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She did her residency in pediatrics at Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. She then completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care through University of California, San Diego at Rady Children's Hospital.

In addition to being proficient in English, Spanish and Arabic, Dr. Alsheikh enjoys participating in marathons and half marathons.
