Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I wanted a program in a large catchment area that would expose me to a variety of pathologies, emphasize caring for underserved populations and provide various opportunities for leadership, research and mentorship. Valley Children’s Residency Program checked off all these boxes as a free-standing children’s hospital with a mid-size class, a strong support system from attendings and residents and the opportunities to be at the forefront of patient care from intern year.

Hobbies:
Watching K-dramas, painting, bingeing TV, socializing with friends/family, swimming, tennis

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
My advocacy interests have focused on providing equalized access to healthcare both locally and globally and emphasizing the importance of mental health and overall wellness from a young age.

My prior researches include analyzing schizophrenic murine models, clinical understanding of the impact music has on cognitive development in preschool children and assessing different modalities to improve wellness and mental health among medical students.

Care Philosophy:
I believe that every child is unique in their own way, so we must encourage them to celebrate their unique traits, to appreciate the cultural differences among their peers, to help them navigate adversity head on and to always embrace the inner kid in them.
