Sleep Services

Specializing in identifying respiratory-based sleep disorders in infants, children and young adults up to age 21, Sleep Services is part of the Pulmonology Practice at Children’s.  Sleep Services is available 6 days per week, Sunday through Friday, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. We conduct about 10 sleep studies weekly and nearly 400 sleep studies annually.

Sleep Services is overseen by our board certified pediatric pulmonologists and is staffed by two respiratory care practitioners (RCPs), who are also Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, and two experienced assistants.

Services are provided in two private bedroom suites at Children’s by our RCPs who glean 6 hours of quality sleep data. Once scored, the test recording and scoring data is read by our board certified pediatric pulmonologists – in conjunction with a patient’s medical history and physical examination – for assessment, interpretation and a subsequent medical plan.
