Pediatric Psychology

Children’s pediatric psychologists evaluate and treat children with chronic medical illnesses and complex medical conditions who are experiencing coexisting emotional and behavioral difficulties.  If a patient being treated on any of the inpatient units or in any of the outpatient practices requires consultation, the psychologists can provide diagnostic and therapeutic services.

  • Parent/child counseling

  • Adjustment and coping with chronic medical conditions
  • Psychological factors affecting medical conditions

Patients with chronic medical illnesses or complex medical conditions who also have:

  • Feeding disorders of young childhood

Multidisciplinary Care

  • Collaborative consultation between psychologists, physicians, nurses, social workers, child life workers, among other staff members
  • Participation on subspecialty specific multidisciplinary teams
  • Participation on hospital-based and medical staff committees
