Expert Neonatal Care When It’s Needed Most

Valley Children’s Healthcare is one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the nation, providing exclusive care for children of all ages, from before birth to young adulthood. Throughout the Central California area, Valley Children’s provides Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) support - the highest level of care available for neonates and infants between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. The neonatal service has the capacity of 116 beds throughout the Valley.

Our regional NICU located in Madera, California, provides 24-hour, onsite coverage by board-certified neonatologists with the ability to consult with our broad spectrum of highly specialized medical and surgical specialists. Our 88-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including 21 private and semi-private rooms, enables parents to stay overnight with their infant for added support. Treating conditions ranging from common to the most unusual and complex, our NICU and satellite facilities combined provide specialized care for more than 1,500 fragile babies from Modesto to Bakersfield and the Central Coast.
