Bringing Halloween to Children’s

Halloween is more than two weeks away but this morning you wouldn’t know it if you walked into the Child Life Classroom at Children’s Hospital Central California. High school student paints a patient's face

Spirit Halloween Superstores donated costumes and other goodies for patients at the hospital. Balloons filled the classroom as parents and children selected from princess and superhero outfits. Members of the Clovis West High School Varsity Girls Volleyball Team helped kids decorate buckets, color and read. They also painted children’s faces.

“It’s been really amazing to know I can put smiles on their faces and make their day that much better,” said Lauren Albertson, team captain.

For the patients who were unable to make it to the classroom, the players went room to room, dropping off balloons and bags filled with Halloween goodies.

“Halloween is for kids and I wanted to make sure we brought Halloween to them, said Stephanie Kachadurian, Spirit Halloween Superstore owner.

During the Halloween season, Central Valley Spirit Halloween Superstores will be raising funds for Children’s Hospital.
