Color The Skies to Launch again on Labor Day Weekend

5th Annual Balloon Festival provides spectacular event for communities around Modesto while raising much needed money and awareness for Children's Hospital Central California. 


Color the Skies, one of the North Valley’s most popular communityColor the Skies Children's Hospital Hot Air Balloon events, is getting ready to fly and run again over Labor Day weekend September 4-5, 2010. The event has grown exponentially over the last five years attracting thousands to Mistlin Park in Ripon. Color The Skies, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2006 to raise awareness, and to provide financial support to Children's Hospital Central California.

Over the years, Greg and Jessica Coleman have held various positions on Children's Hospital's Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Directors. Currently, Greg is serving as Chair of the Board of Trustee's. The Coleman's understand the Color the Skies Hot Air Balloonsunique challenges that face Children's Hospital Central California - especially during these hard economic times. The Coleman's said, "It's easy to be an advocate for such an amazing group of medical pediatric experts, that truly change lives every single day!"

Come and celebrate the 5th Annual Color the Skies Hot Air Balloon Festival! The event also includes a 1 mile and 5K run on Saturday. The Coleman's hope that you and your family enjoy what they have created to benefit Children's and their community! Junior High and High School students in the North Valley this year are encouraged to participate in the Color the Skies Poster Contest with an opportunity to receive a $300 prize. Deadline to submit artwork is April 30, 2010.
