Board certified in anesthesiology, Dr. Robert Gainor is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Medical Association. He is also a delegate to the House of Delegates of the California Society of Anesthesiologists, a member of the Bylaws Committee of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco–Fresno Medical Education Program. Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Gainor was a staff anesthesiologist at the Naval Ambulatory Care Center in Groton, Conn.
Dr. Gainor earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Penn. He completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Calif., and a residency in anesthesiology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Gainor also completed six months of advanced clinical training in pediatric anesthesia at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Gainor lives in Fresno and enjoys spending time with his daughters.
