Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Marty Clayman is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, and the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia.
Dr. Clayman served in an administrative capacity as Director of Pediatric Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He has conducted several research studies and has held academic teaching positions including Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky as well as Senior Clinical Instructor in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colo.
Dr. Clayman participates in international medical missions, most frequently with Operation Smile.
Dr. Clayman received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed a residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Cincinnati, and an anesthesia residency in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Ill.
Dr. Clayman completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at The Children’s Hospital in Denver.
