cardiologist in April 1998.
Dr. Rouillard has specialized expertise in using echocardiography (including
transthoracic, transesophageal, intraoperative, and fetal echocardiography)
as well as electrocardiography (including Holter and multievent EKG

served as medical director of the Cardiac Testing Center and chair of the
Patient Safety Committee. Valley Children’s recognized him with its Board

safety, and for his involvement in developing Valley Children’s specialty care
center in Merced.
Dr. Rouillard is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San
Francisco. His research experience includes predictors of postoperative junctional ectopic
tachycardia among patients undergoing tetralogy of Fallot repair, and echocardiographic
predictors of outcomes following an arterial switch procedure.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Heart
Association and the American Society of Echocardiography.
A graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Rouillard completed his pediatric
residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he was
named Outstanding Resident in Pediatric Intensive Care. He completed his fellowship
training in pediatric cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
