Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Kamran Husain joined Children’s Hospital Central California in August 2011. His areas of special interest include one-lung ventilation and hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury.
Recently completing his postgraduate education and training, Dr. Husain did his pediatric residency at the Children’s Regional Hospital, at Cooper University Hospital, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, in Camden, N.J. He completed his anesthesia residency also at Cooper University Hospital, UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in Camden, N.J., and at Drexel University Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn. He did his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children – Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, Penn.
Dr. Husain earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Pakistan. He also earned a master’s in business administration (MBA) at the Institute of Business Administration, University of Karachi, Pakistan.
Dr. Husain is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Husain enjoys hiking, biking and fishing.
