Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Joshua Colvin joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric emergency physician in August 2011. His area of special interest is the febrile infant.
Dr. Colvin came to Valley Children’s from Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., where he served as a pediatric emergency physician. He also served as assistant professor of pediatrics at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo.
Dr. Colvin has presented at national and regional conferences on topics including fever and serious bacterial infections in children under 36 months, orthopaedic injuries, and viral pathogens causing fever without a source.
Dr. Colvin received his medical degree from Universitat Innsbruck, Austria. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, N.Y. He did his fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, Mo. He also received a master’s of science in clinical investigation at Washington University School of Medicine.
