Fellowship-trained in pediatric urology, Dr. Andrew Marks joined Valley Children’s
in September 2011 as a pediatric urologist. His areas of special interest include
spina bifida, hypospadias and pediatric urolithiasis.
Dr. Marks earned his medical degree from University of Alberta, Faculty of
Medicine and Dentistry, in Edmonton, Alberta. He did his residency in urology at
University of British Columbia, Department of Urologic Sciences, in Vancouver,
BC. He completed his master’s degree in clinical investigation at Northwestern
University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. He did his pediatric
urology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Division of Pediatric Urology,
in Chicago, Ill. He is board eligible.
Dr. Marks has published in several peer-reviewed publications, including World
Journal of Urology, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Urology, and
Journal of Pediatric Urology. He also coauthored a book chapter regarding laser
physics for urologists in the textbook, Urinary Stone Disease.
In his free time, Dr. Marks is an avid amateur musician who enjoys playing bass
violin, bass guitar and the trombone. Fluent in French, his other interests include
running, snowboarding, cooking and traveling.
