Jane Willson is vice president, corporate development, at Valley Children’s, where she oversees the business development and strategic planning, and communications and marketing departments.

Jane came to Valley Children’s in 2002. In her current role since 2007, she is responsible for her division’s focus on planning, enhancing and communicating pediatric subspecialty services that the Hospital provides infants, children and adolescents throughout Central California.

In partnership with the region’s community physicians, educational institutions and other organizations, the business development and strategic planning department conducts surveys, analyzes trends, provides outreach, offers continuing medical education, develops service line expansion and more. The department also collaborates with the Independent Practice Association (IPA), Childnet Medical Associates, the Hospital’s physician contracting network for primary care physicians and specialists. The communications and marketing department plans and implements strategic communications to support these efforts.

Prior to Jane’s current role, she served as vice president, ambulatory and physician support services, at Valley Children’s.

Jane has extensive experience in leadership positions in pediatric healthcare settings on both the East and West Coasts. She came to Valley Children's from Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University, where she served as vice president for ambulatory care and physician services. Prior to that, she worked in Atlanta at companies such as ESR Children's Health Care System, Inc., Egleston Pediatric Group, Inc., and Arthur Andersen, LLP. Before venturing into healthcare, Jane held several executive positions in the retail industry.

Jane serves on the board for Exceptional Parents Unlimited, a center that works to strengthen and empower children and families facing extraordinary medical, developmental and parenting challenges.

Jane received a bachelor of arts from Wellesley College in Massachusetts and earned her master’s of business administration (MBA) from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
