Valley Children’s Hospital has been named one of the nation’s 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals by Soliant, a healthcare staffing organization.
Soliant received more than 250,000 votes, of which Valley Children’s received more than 3,000 to finish No. 13 in the rankings and as the only California hospital – adult or pediatric – to make the list.
“Whenever possible, children’s hospitals should put children at ease, and the theme-park-hotel-style architecture of Valley Children’s Hospital helps do that before visitors even enter,” the Soliant website notes. “With a cheerful playhouse style and bright colors throughout and within, Valley Children’s celebrates its first year in our rankings.”
Valley Children’s believes in creating kid- and family-friendly spaces – whether in our Hospital or our under-construction specialty care centers in Bakersfield and Modesto – which has become a source of pride for our organization.
As we near our 20th anniversary in August of moving the Hospital to our current Madera campus, Beverly Hayden-Pugh, senior VP of clinical integration, patient experience and our CNO, reflected on that move in a story in The Fresno Bee, where she stated the move was like going from “a one-room house to a palace.”
