Free Family Fun Day to Celebrate Opening of Valley Children’s Newest Outpatient Location

(Modesto, California) – Families are invited to an open house Saturday for Valley Children’s newest outpatient center, Pelandale Specialty Care Center. The free event features balloon animals, a photo booth and refreshments. Children are also invited to check out the center’s interactive art exhibits and visit with Valley Children’s mascot, George the giraffe. Staff will hand out free copies of Valley Children’s newest published book, “George Out & About in Stanislaus County” (while supplies last).

Pelandale Specialty Care Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient medical facility designed for children, providing the best pediatric specialty care in the region. Valley Children’s currently offers outpatient services in Modesto in the following pediatric specialties: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Pulmonology and Urology.

This location helps Valley Children’s meet the needs of families in Stanislaus County and nearby communities, and keep them closer to home and to the people they already trust for their best care – their own primary care physicians. Last year, providers at our former outpatient center saw more than 12,000 visits. That number is expected to grow to more than 27,500 within the next decade.
