(Madera, California) - More than 300 Madera and Fresno preschoolers and elementary school students brought their favorite stuffed animals to Valley Children’s Hospital for the annual “Teddy Bear Health Fair” on Friday, November 9.
The children watched our doctors, nurses and staff members perform wellness checks on their stuffed animals and watched as their bears, kitten, monsters and other favorite toys went through some of the same procedures our patients do, making the hospital a more welcoming place. Students also learned about trauma prevention.
Valley Children’s Child Life department has organized the Teddy Bear Health Fair for more than 15 years.
