Children's Advocacy Network (CAN)
A community of people who have committed themselves to supporting Children's Hospital Central California by communicating with legislators about issues that are important to the health and wellbeing of children and families. Go to Children's Advocacy Network (CAN) mini-site...
By fostering working partnerships with community-based organizations, our community relations program develops collaborative approaches for advocating on behalf of children throughout Central California and for the work we are doing here at Children's.
Monitoring, analyzing and influencing legislation at local, state and federal levels is essential to effective advocacy and effective legislative relations. The timely involvement of key staff in the legislative process will improve our ability to shape public policy and improve governmental support for our programs and services.
Education and Outreach
Literacy programs, community health fairs and our Online Health Encyclopedia are only part of our Education and Outreach efforts.
